Double hanging pedestals keep two storage zones close at hand while preserving open floor space beneath the shell. The open hutch adds vertical storage above the worksurface for binders, reference material, and display items. Construction centers on a 7/8-inch thick worksurface with 3/4-inch thick end panels and modesty panels finished in thermally fused melamine, a hardwearing surface made for daily business use. All exposed edges are protected with 3mm PVC edge banding that matches the laminate finish and helps guard against everyday bumps and wear. Reinforced metal brackets add structural support within the desk shell, while metal cam locks and connecting pins help secure the cabinet components. The hanging pedestals mount to the underside of the desk shell, leaving the floor beneath open for easier cleaning and a less crowded feel. Box drawers ride on 3/4-extension ball bearing slides, and file drawers use full-extension ball bearing slides for complete front-to-back access. Adjustable leveling glides provide up to 1/2 inch of height compensation on uneven floors. The open hutch is built with thermally fused laminate construction, 3mm PVC edge banding on exposed edges, metal cam locks, and a full laminate back panel.
