Drawer fronts are built from 5/8-inch thick thermally fused melamine, and the drawer boxes use 1/2-inch black vinyl board with an 1/8-inch bottom panel for a clean interior. Reinforced metal brackets add structural support inside the desk shell, while metal cam locks and connecting pins improve durability and support field assembly. Box drawers use 3/4-extension ball bearing slides, file drawers use full-extension slides, and soft-close drawer suspension is standard on all drawers for quiet closing.
